Hellooooo, it’s me again, the Bulgarian-Spanish-Catalan volunteer!

Can you believe it’s been a month already? Time really does fly, but I can’t complain—I’ve packed so much into these past weeks! :)

My volunteering journey in ABS started with a bang at the Improv Theatre event. It was such an incredible experience, not only because of the fun we had, but also because I met so many amazing people who have now become friends.

My first event as an organizer (with some help, of course) was a clean-up at Bachinovo, a beautiful natural park in the suburbs of the city. It felt so rewarding to see the positive impact we had on the local environment just by deciding to pick up some of the accumulated trash. Small actions really do make a difference!

On the social side of things, I’ve been non-stop! I had some wonderful dinners with the other volunteers and people who attend our events. It’s been such a blast connecting with everyone. And the nightlife in Blago? I’ve been loving it! Even though I miss reggaeton in the clubs (seriously, where is it?), I have to admit that Underground is pretty awesome, especially when you’re there with friends.

I had the chance to volunteer at the social kitchen organized by the church. We helped the cooks prepare some delicious meals and served over 220 people in need. It was such a humbling and heartwarming experience, and I can’t wait to go back.

That same day, I took a little trip down memory lane and visited my childhood house (yep, Miss International World also lived in Blago!) I brought the other volunteers with me so they could see a proper traditional Bulgarian home. Later, we were invited to a birthday party (shoutout to Vesko!), where we had an amazing time meeting more local people and celebrating with friends.

Speaking of trips, we just got back from Sunny Beach! What an experience—let’s just say it’s like the Bulgarian version of Ibiza. I had an amazing time with my friends, and I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Oh, and I almost forgot the highlight of this month... I got not one, not two, but THREE new tattoos! So yeah, this life experience in Bulgaria is literally inked into my skin forever ;)

B-bye for nowww! But don’t worry, I’ve still got five more months to enjoy and live many more experiences, so we’ll keep in touch <3
