The "Horizons of Europe" Youth Exchange was an invaluable experience that exposed me to the viewpoints of young people of Europe and such coming from Jordan in the Middle East and Tunisia in North Africa. Along with the rest of the participants, we had the chance to discuss the implications of the top-down-imposed notion of European identity, the essence of European values, the non-negotiability of national identities of sovereign countries in the EU (and particularly in the Balkans, as four of the national teams arrived from that region), the gradual yet consistent abandonment of Judeo-Christian values that lie at the foundation of the Western Civilization and the threats to the latter -- as fierce, if not more, from within as from without. Quite encouraging was the fact that most participants happily united behind the idea that peace in Europe is of vital importance and that the European Union must not be engaged in any wars across the world in any way whatsoever.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and curiosity. The initial icebreakers, though simple, laid the foundation for deeper connections. Activities such as team-building exercises and collaborative workshops encouraged us to step out of our comfort zones and engage with one another meaningfully. One of the most memorable aspects of the project was the cultural exchange sessions.

What stood out the most during the "Horizons of Europe" Erasmus youth exchange in Jastrzębia Góra, Poland, was the amazing vibe and energy throughout the project. The venue, set in the beautiful seaside town of Jastrzębia Góra, made the experience special because we were playing sports, swimming and going for walks along the beach. But the real highlight was the cultural exchange with participants from partner countries like Tunisia and Jordan—sharing stories, traditions, and lots of laughter made the experience unforgettable.

For me it was an amazing experience in which I not only learned many new things, but also met many people and made lifelong friendships. The games, as well as discussions on various topics related to Europe, were of great importance for the future and development of young people.
