Hello, again here, your favorite Spanish guy in Blagoevgrad!

This is the last month I am staying in Bulgaria, and I must say that it has been a very intense month!

Firstly, I would like to talk about the American University Olympics that took place the last days of April. The people who participated could enjoy practicing a wide range of different sports, in my case these were table tennis, giant beerpong and the marathon.

I didn’t get very far in any of these disciplines, but I enjoyed a lot that weekend with my friends.

Secondly, in the beginning of May we had a lot of free days thanks to the easter holidays, so we decided to do 2 different trips.

The first, we spent a couple of days in Istanbul, the biggest city I have ever been. The culture is completely different to what we are used, and the history of the city is thrilling.

After that, a more reduced group of people went to Athens, and to an island near the city called Egina.

Athens is also a wonderful city with a long history and plenty of monuments to visit, but the things what I would highlight about Greece are the food that is simply amazing, and the people’s treat; I felt like at home.

In the island we could enjoy the beaches and the sun. Something that I missed a lot.

Thirdly, after this extraordinary trip we came back to Blagoevgrad, where we were amused by many funny ABS events, such as the time’s up, the durak night, or the photo safari where we had to make very specific pictures throughout all the city of Blagoevgrad.

In addition, we could come back to the southwest university to do offline promotion, and we had a meeting with a representative of the European parliament for Bulgaria.

To conclude this article, I would like to say that these have been very intense months living in Bulgaria, I have learnt a lot of things, and I had the chance to meet a lot of people from different countries and live unforgettable experiences. Now it’s time to say goodbye thank for all the experiences lived.
