La vie d'une française en Bulgarie ...

Let's go to the beginning of that first month after the end of our last encounter.

The volunteers started working on their first Event which was an International Quiz Night. Charlotte worked on writing the questions and also all the art-related tasks.

The first event was for the moment the most successful one. We met all the usual participants and tried to discover all of them. They were pretty good at the quiz and they nearly got a draw.

It was a nice evening, that I think everyone really appreciated.

After that a routine started, and Charlotte started to appreciate doing the office artsy stuff. She started to create some posters for social media, do the writing for the calls, and draw when necessary for the projects.

When preparing the food for the events she enjoyed baking for people to savor it.

She tried to think about future original events.

The weeks and events went really quickly: Movie night, Ecology week, Stereotypes game night, Escape Room ...

The girl chose one movie for Movie night, pick-up trash for Ecology week, did the poster for Stereotypes game night and played Escape Game for the first time in her life.

Charlotte really put an effort into talking to all the participants of the events and having everyone have fun and participate.

This month Manuel, Charlotte, and Amber really tried to go out. They went clubbing for the first time in Blago (spoiler alert: Charlotte hated the fact that people smoke inside the club), they also went multiple times to the cafeteria of the American university to chill and study (Charlotte studied Korean but also watched series there).

The weather started to become really hot, the clothes became shorter and the bodies to sweat.

The volunteers started to talk about traveling and organized a trip to Plovdiv, Burgas, and Sozopol. Life being complicated one more city was added, called Chernomorets.

That trip was really pretty but so exhausting. The volunteers took the bus at 6 AM to go to Plovdiv, their accommodation wasn't answering the phone, finally to tell the keys were in the mailbox. And finally, the nice part of the trip started. The foreigners started by eating Mekitsi with Nutella and yellow cheese.

They took a walk in the city center. That is a really interesting city, a mix of modern and ancient with a really diverse culture. They visited with a free tour guide and after that a little kebab while enjoying the sunset.

The French being really unlucky when they come back home, everyone takes a shower and Charlotte is the last one. The girl goes down the stairs go into the first room to have access to the bathroom she opens the door to the second room door and PAF a naked man.

Traumatized she ended up not taking a shower in Plovdiv.

The next day, they nearly missed the bus to go to Burgas. The journey was so long and confusing. The driver didn't let them get off at Burgas, so they went off to Chernomorets.

The volunteers ended up eating at a restaurant, tanning on the beach, and after that taking the bus to finally go to Burgas.

But let me tell you Burgas really didn't wanted of them!

The friends arrived the sky is grey, they struggled for one hour to find their hotel, so exhausted they just ordered a pizza and go to sleep.

The next day, they go to Sozopol and enjoy the beauty of the city. A little picnic was organized on the beach and after that a tanning.

The day went quickly, the traveler came back to Burgas so exhausted at 9 PM Charlotte stayed in the weird apartment.

I didn't told you about the apartment ?

A big old and weird apartment with a room locked. She stayed alone and she could not sleep feeling so uncomfortable in that creepy apartment. Even though she was alone, she locked the door when going to the toilet.

When Manuel and Amber came back the girl felt so relieved.

The next day they chilled on the beach but the sky was grey and it rained they bought some food in the supermarket and waited for the bus to go back to Sofia.

The arrival at Sofia was at 4: 30 AM and their bus to go back to Blago at 6: 20 AM. I can tell you they had a horrendous night and when finally they arrived at their apartment in Blago the girl went to sleep.

Sadly 1 hour later was the time to go to work, this was a difficult day.

After that trip, the day went by so quickly, and now here we are one month after their arrival and now even a new volunteer. Some changements are noted Amber and Manuel moved out for the new volunteer named Kimberly (She is Spanish), and Charlotte tried to help Kimberly to cook.

And of course every week, there is a new problem in the apartment: cockroaches, sink clogged, door handle breaking ...

I think we are good, you heard about the volunteer's new life and misadventures.

See you next month! Bye! Oh wait the disclaimer!
