Chapter 1 - More about my nice trip to Plovdiv

Chapter 1 - More about my nice trip to Plovdiv

One of my best travel adventures, during my stay in Bulgaria. The first day when we arrived, we had a problem with the Airbnb and the whole team was so disappointed but finally, it all turned out to be for the better. Because after that we found an incredible hostel and the host helped us make our way for the visit and we forgot everything.

After that, we wanted to try the niiiiiice place recommended by my last roommate Natalia

(love u and miss u): SKAPTO

Then, we just walked in the city discovering how Plovdiv looks and appreciating it like the biggest tourist.

It was so nice and we finished the walk with Plovdiv hills, with a verrryyy big statute of Alyosha (an affectionate diminutive of Aleksey) is an 11-meter (36-foot) tall reinforced concrete statue of a Soviet soldier on Bunarjik Hill in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The statue tops a 6-meter (20-foot) pedestal lined with granite. The memorial commemorates Soviet casualties incurred during the Soviet occupation of Bulgaria (which had been an Axis ally) in World War II.

A little view of hills:

Later, we returned to the city center for a nice evening, in a nice restaurant together, with some tasty meals and amazing wine. And at the end, one typical Bulgarian beverage🍺

The Next Day, We did the free tour in Plovdiv where we learned more about the history of this city and typical traditions. During this tour, we met a lot of new people, travelers like us. They were from a lot of different countries like Israel, France, England, and Portugal.

They were so sweet and open - we ate together, drank, and spent the whole day with them. And watched the sunset together.

And finished this day in a Karaoke place with everyone who is good at singing. My favorite duo will always be Sofie and Mathias, the incredible Danish Duo <3

And the final day in Plovdiv came, we took a few pictures and one incredible ice coffee in the "Friends cafe" like the tv series before retuning to Blagoevgrad

And we waited for the train…

And we finished on the train !!! Mathias was really happy 😆

And we arrived after 5 hours on the train!

BUT! We forgot one thing! It was my birthday! At 00:00 friends came to my house with a cake for me « Happy birthday »

I was surprised, a lot of love ❤️

Chapter 2 - Return in Blagoevgrad and too many departures

Returning to Blagoevgrad and we went to the Sophie Jam session in the bar where we were going every day together with all volunteers: Stage Bar

A really nice concert with very talented people even though my Sophie "Swift" is still my favorite. It was a real success and I was so impressed by everyone, by their voices or them playing instruments.

We danced, sang, ate, partied, listened to music, laughed, and shared this moment together, one unforgettable night for us.

And now we will be in the emotional part of this article: Departures

We had a little quarantine after this event and people came one by one, it was really hard because I love all of them. I'm here for 7 months and I hadn't realized that this is a long time to live here and it has its hard aspects. To connect with many people, live, travel, work, eat, sleep, party, and all of this together. It is so beautiful and sad at the same time.

First, it was time for Sophie my sweet friend and "Swift" ,and Martha, the big sister of the group and the one who gives the best advices, to go.

And after that the Oppa Mathias,

And in the end, my 2 amazing roommates, without whom this experience would have never been the same. I am talking about My sweet Jovana and my lovely Natalia ❤️

I will be short, just in this article, I want to say, thank you for all. When I came I couldn't speak in English, I was lost and out of my comfort zone. And thankfully I met 2 gorgeous people, they are my friends, my confidence, and 2 real friends that I discovered throughout our adventures together.

And the last meal together ❤️

We are a really nice group buuuuut, after a few weeks we finished in quarantine because of Covid. And to know how the quarantine went, go and check my vlog on our Instagram 😉

It was really long and not the best part but we found the good aspect of it and tried to be positive.

After this difficult situation, we went to another city to take some fresh air and travel - we went to Sandanski, a lot of things were closed but we were together and this was the most important thing.

Chapter 4 - Christmas ? New year ? What we did ?

For Christmas, I was in France and I saw my whole family and my best friends, It was so peaceful to see them after 3 months and to be back in my own country. It gave me so much energy and motivation before coming back in Bulgaria for my next 4 months.

But before I left, we made a Secret Santa. It was really fun and a good moment together. 😉

And for the New year, I was in Bulgaria with the others, we went to Bansko to ski and just spend some good time. It was really nice.

And I have been a ski teacher during this trip because Mathias and Aziz had never tried skiing. To be honest for Matias it was easier to learn than for Aziz. Everyone has a personal talent, and for Aziz, it's certainly something else 😂😂😂.

We skied during 3 full days with Mathias and Sacha, it was so exhaustinging but sooo nice in the same time. At the end Mati was good and didn't look like a beginner. Congrats! 🎉

The night of 31st of December we watch the speach from the Danish Queen, apparently, it's a tradition, I couldn't understand anything but she looked a really cute grand'ma. And at midnight we jumped on the floor. It was the most Danish New Year I ever did. We watched the fireworks too, we were in the ambiance for the beginning of 2021.

That's all for this article, I hope you liked it 😉

See you for the next one
