In May 2019 Active Bulgarian Society team organised a local workshop on the topic of Social Entrepreneurship and Cultural Management.
The workshop introduced the participants with the project: EU4YOU and more specifically with its objectives. We had examples of successful and unsuccessful social enterprises, participants together with their mentors from the ABS team were included in an interactive simulation, where they needed to prepare a business plan for a cultural enterprise.
The simulation put the participants of the workshop in the shoes of the social entrepreneurs. Moreover, they needed to first to gain and develop a solid amount of new skills and competences which after they put into practice.
This local workshop was part of our Key Action 2 Capacity Building in the field of Youth: “EntreprenEUrship for CultYOUre” (EU4YOU) Erasmus+ project, co-funded by the European Commission. The project aims to develop innovative complementary pathways for boosting the employability of young people through social youth entrepreneurship and providing them with tools for cultural entrepreneurship in particular.
The project consist of consortium of 4 European project partners (Active Bulgarian Society, Youth Express Network, Business and Innovation Center of Serres, and Active Youth Association)and 4 Non-European project partners (International Initiatives for Cooperation, Mexico, Center for Sustainable Development Studies, Vietnam, Brigada de Voluntarios Bolivarianos del Peru, Fundacion Sustentabilidad, Educacion y Solidaridad, Argentina).
