📌VENUE:
Stina is the village on the South of the Vinnytsia oblast in the Tomashpil region. Tomashpil is the closest town with a population
of around 6000 people. From the city of Vinnytsia the village is located on the 110 km distance. The village is situated in the deep Valley of the Rusava river which gives it a special climate and a peaceful, retired atmosphere. The first mention of its name dates back to 1550. In 2001, there were 1033 inhabitants.

Stina has a deep historical background and hosts some archaeological excavations of the Trypillia culture. In the medieval, the central rocky part of Stina called “The Castle” accommodated a fort which was important in withstanding attacks by Ottoman Empire and during the national liberation war of Ukrainian Cossacks against Rech Pospolita. From the medieval comes a legend that almost whole population of Stina was killed in an attack by Crimean Tartars and from then on those women who survived this tragedy by hiding into local caves started to embroider national clothes in mourning black and white only colors. Now the technique of this embroidery is gone and no one can reproduce it. The old samples of skirts with such exquisite knitting are very valuable. On the outskirts of Stina is located a natural reservation of the local importance. There grows Eastern pasqueflower which blooms every spring attracting numerous visitors to the valley above the village.
In 2016-17 DC Pangea Ultima together with its partner NGO Nashe Podillia launched the “Eco-center in Stina”. The mission of the center is: to serve the platform of collaboration between different actors that are interested in the practical implementation of ideas of sustainable development, exchange and preservation of local knowledge and realization of other rural initiatives.

📌LIVING CONDITIONS:
The participants will be accommodated in camp conditions on the territory of the Eco-center in Stina. The participants are likely to have the previous experience of the camp life, as when for some it may seem like apleasure, the others may feel a domestic shock. People will be settled in tents mainly by three in one, cook over a campfire (assistance will be provided by the local organizers in it, but the participants are welcome to prepare some traditional, national recipes to treat others), use a
compost toilet, a summer shower, conduct activities and work outdoors. The participants can expect some assistance in everyday complexities from the Local Partner.
