Partner countries: Latvia, Bulgaria, Italy, Denmark and Spain
📌SUMMARY
"Alezio's Got Talent" is a Youth Exchange promoted by 5 youth organizations working in 5 European countries (Italy, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain and Latvia). In this project, in particular they decided to involve 5 young people (18-25 years), for a total of 25 participants and six accompanying persons (1 group leader per nation, under 30 years and 2 italian coordinators). All the participants share the same passion for music - some of them are young professionals in the field - and want to improve their musical skills. Following the approaches of peer education and learning by doing, the participants will be involved in the project as protagonists. In fact, they have already contributed to the creation of the exchange itself, providing feedback in writing the proposal in regards to the activities in the agenda.
The project foresees, first of all, a three-day Preliminary Planning Visit to be carried out on November. This will be attended by the 5 group leaders to visit the accommodation, discuss the activities, methods and security measures. Youth exchange will then take place on February 2019. It will be a 11-days residential experience, during which the participants will manage all activities (including informal time, such as cleaning, cooking, etc.) to encourage interaction and active participation. These activities will be prepared by the participants in the national groups, before the exchange itself. They’ll be supervised by the sending organizations and the group leaders, in cooperation with the other national groups. The interaction between the different participants in the realization of the activities, the effort in making decisions together for the sake of the group are dynamics that foster intercultural dialogue, solidarity and mutual understanding. Additionally the participation in the exchange will be a unique opportunity for these young people, who often do not have the possibility or the incentives to travel, learn about other European cultures and participate in unconventional training experiences. Therefore the exchange will also be an opportunity to reflect on the value of European citizenship and the opportunities attached to it – also thanks to the presentations on the Erasmus+ program provided for during the project.
The activities planned during the exchange, in particular, are divided into two phases: in the first part of the exchange, the participants will be involved in workshops to share the musical traditions of each country. Later they will be divided into groups for the creation of a melody, accompanied by a choreography and text. In this way, the young people involved will know better their own culture as well as the traditions of the other partner countries. They’ll acquire new musical skills, also in the ICT area through peer learning and non-formal education. The citizenship of Alezio will be directly
involved in the public events, while the dissemination activities foreseen in the project will also impact the local communities of the participating countries.
