!!ONLY FOR BULGARIANS!!
📌PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Project partners offer their users space where they feel comfortable and safe, where they can develop their social skills and where they can get quality support in their behavioural, emotional, learning and other needs. The programmes aim to provide support to the widest circle of users, as well as to those with special needs and other problems. Support is provided at an individual level (work with each individual), as well as in cooperation with their families.
The idea of the project is to involve 5 volunteers from different European countries in the everyday work of various local organizations active in the field of youth, education and social care (4-day care centres for children and youth, project learning for young adults, primary school for children with learning difficulties and special needs) for one year, from November 2021 until October 2022. Each volunteer has his/her basic working organization, where most of the work is done, but during the project, they also get familiar with all the organizations involved in the project and also with the other local organizations. The experiences are extremely good, so the Slovene national agency considers our project as an example of good practice and volunteers enjoy it (their experiences you can find here)
Four volunteers from Belgium, France, Latvia and Spain are already chosen, but we still need to find a volunteer, who would primarily work in the Day Care Center for Children and Youth DC Om. The volunteer should have an interest in working with kids and he/she should be able to speak English.
📌AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To enable volunteers to improve their skills, abilities and knowledge and to learn to work successfully within a team and better their initiative.
- All volunteers will gain new skills and experiences that will help increase their understanding and respect of others, along with increasing individual tolerance and mutual acceptance. They will do this through the aforementioned activities but also through a personal project that will aim to strengthen their involvement in local society and help promote a European vision of solidarity in places where it is needed.
- To provide support to those with special needs and other problems to help them develop their social skills and to allow them to get quality support with their behavioural, emotional, and learning problems.
